FAQ - Corebook° Studio - How to handoff brand project to the client
Wrapping up a brand project is one thing. Handing it off smoothly and professionally is another.
In Corebook° Studio, we’ve made client handoff as flexible as possible — whether your agency prefers a quick-share method or a more collaborative, white-labeled experience. Depending on your relationship with the client and the stage they’re at, there are three ways to go about it. Let’s break down each option with the benefits and things to consider.
1. Public View-Only Link – Under Studio Wing
What it is:
You share a view-only URL with your client. They get full access to explore the brand platform, interact with it, and download attached brand assets — all without needing to log in or sign up.
Best for:
Clients who don’t need to actively manage or edit the brand. One-off projects. Smaller clients with limited tech resources or budgets.
Pros:
- Free for the client — no subscription required.
- Client can download assets and interact with the brand guide.
- Great for showcasing brand work quickly and efficiently.
- Fastest possible handoff — zero onboarding friction.
Cons:
- The URL is Corebook° branded, not white-labeled.
- No password protection or security features — it’s public.
- Client cannot edit or manage brand content directly.
2. Transfer Brand Ownership to the Client
What it is:
The agency retains editorial rights, while the client becomes the official brand owner — taking over billing, permissions, and brand admin tasks. The client must choose a plan from Brand New, Brand Premium, or Brand Gem.
Best for:
Long-term client partnerships or internal brand teams who need ownership and operational control of the platform.
Pros:
- Cleaner division of roles: agency keeps editing access, client owns admin/billing.
- Client gets full control to manage internal teams, organize brand documentation, and activate brand owner features.
- Ideal for brands with in-house teams or multiple stakeholders.
Cons:
- Requires a paid plan on the client’s end.
- May require extra client onboarding to get them comfortable in the platform.
3. Upgrade Project to BO Plan (Agency Covers Cost)
What it is:
The agency upgrades the project to a Brand Owner plan, keeping the billing under their account. The client is added as an editor with the ability to collaborate and manage brand content directly.
Best for:
Agencies offering ongoing brand management services, or when minimizing client onboarding friction is a priority.
Pros:
- Agency stays in control of the platform setup and cost.
- Client gains editing access and collaboration capabilities immediately.
- Unlocks brand owner features like:
- Password protection
- SSO integration
- Custom domain setup
- Reduces barriers — no back-and-forth over plan selection or platform setup.
Cons:
- Agency takes on the cost of the Brand Owner plan.
- May not be sustainable for smaller agency retainers or non-recurring clients.
- Ownership and billing remain with the agency, so long-term handoff may still be needed later.
In summary
Every agency-client relationship is different, and Corebook° Studio is built to flex with you. Whether you're looking for a fast, zero-cost delivery or a secure, white-labeled brand platform your client can fully take over, there's a handoff method that fits.
